Pakistan vs New Zealand will be taking on New Zealand in a series of 3 T20s, 3 ODIs and 3 Tests. This series will drag on from 31st October to 7th December 2018.  These matches will be played in Sheikh Zayed Stadium and in Dubai International Stadium.

For T20s, Pakistan is perhaps the best team right now. They are undefeated since the last 6 games. They have won 26 out of the last 30 matches. They are ranked 1st in ICC T20 rankings. New Zealand ranks 5th in ICC T20 rankings. So we can expect the results of the T20 series. New Zealand bests Pakistan in Test as well as ODI. We haven’t seen Pakistan perform that well in ODIs. Recently, they gave a poor performance in Asia Cup and were knocked out in the super four. ODI is not Pakistan’s game but they are still a great team. They rank 5th in ODI Rankings. However New Zealand is in better position at 3rd. Previously, New Zealand was involved in an ODI and Test Series against England. They managed to give the best ODI team a run for their money. England managed to gain a short victory of 3-2. New Zealand managed to gain a victory in the Test Series by 1-0. New Zealand also reached the final of Trans-Tasman Tri Series before losing the

Pakistan will begin the series after whitewashing the great Australia in a T20 series by 3-0! Let me remind you Australia is perhaps one of the, if not the, most dangerous team in international cricket. They even won a test series. Pakistan is ranked 7th in ICC Test Rankings while Australia is 5th. Pakistan is not a team that is to be merely under-estimated based on their ranks. Pakistan has proved to be dangerous for even the most biggest names in international cricket. Pakistan’s bowling has always been the best bowling line-up throughout the world. Pakistani bowlers have always been famous. Pakistan produced legendary bowlers like Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Waqar Younis and Imran Khan. Pakistan therefore, has the best bowling line-up you can ask for. New Zealand would have to suffer against such bowlers. Pakistan was recently promoted to fifth in ICC ODI Rankings which was a great achievement for them. However they could not prove themselves much as their performance in Asia Cup was poor.

However if I were to judge the results, Pakistan would undoubtedly eradicate New Zealand in T20s however they will find themselves in hard times facing New Zealand. New Zealand is just as strong as Pakistan. Each match will be intense.

Quotes:

“I am trying to perform better in each game for Pakistan. Our coaching staff has helped me a lot, especially Azhar Mahmood. I feel like my yorkers have become better recently. I can now figure out the weak zones of a batsman and bowl accordingly.” – Afridi.

“This series is quite important for us. The previous series against Australia are tales of the past now. New Zealand are a great team and have been performing great in T20 series recently. We will try to carry the momentum in this series. The first match is the most important in the game so we will try to have a good start in the series.” – Sarfaraz Ahmed.

“This is a great challange for us, especially in these conditions and with a few players coming straight out of winter and not being involved in a lot of cricket. Obviously these are mere excuses. We are going to play our brand of cricket and we hope that it is good enough for us.” – Colin Munro

“Pakistan have a clear pattern of play which they have played by in the last few matches here at UAE. It is better to be better all round. You are always looking for wickets and the way of getting it matters in different conditions.” -Williamson.
